Mission Statement

“Hands On Nashville is the recognized leader of programs, partnerships and services that maximize volunteer impact in the greater Nashville community. We offer a variety of programs and resources that empower people to make volunteering a regular part of their lives.”

Purpose

Hands On Nashville

- links volunteers with available volunteer opportunities,

- builds partnerships with local schools, agencies and neighborhoods,

- develops structured volunteer projects,

- coordinates large-scale community volunteer events,

- customizes volunteer experiences for groups and companies, and

- provides training and consulting for volunteer managers and groups.

Need for Volunteers
Hands On Nashville works with a variety of non-profit and government organizations to help manage their volunteer programs, we do not have specific jobs or responsibilities. Rather, volunteers can plug-in by registering as a member at www.hon.org after which they will be able to pick the volunteer opportunities that best fit them from our Flexible Calendar (~35 projects per month). Registered members will also receive “Hands On Call,” our monthly electronic newsletter with upcoming volunteer events and opportunities in the Nashville area.
