Students enjoying their first days of Advance at Lipscomb University

This year, we continue to welcome a record-breaking number of students to campus from around the world, all bringing with them a wide variety of academic, cultural, personal and social interests. And you're now a part of a new class with an exciting four years ahead of you.

What's next

In this section, you'll find everything you need to know about being part of the herd.

  1. Complete your FAFSA. You must complete the FAFSA to be eligible for any federal aid. In addition, many state programs and private scholarship organizations also require you to complete the FAFSA to be eligible for their grants and scholarships. You can complete the FAFSA online at
  2. Submit your Enrollment and Housing fees beginning in January. The Enrollment Fee saves your place in Lipscomb’s incoming class and allows you to register for Advance, our orientation program offered in June, July and August. We must receive your enrollment fee by May 1. Paying your Housing Fee will allow you to reserve your dorm room. All of your fees are refundable if you cancel your application before May 1. You can submit your Enrollment Fee and Housing Fee online by logging into with your Lipscomb email account username and password (if you haven't setup your myLipscomb account yet, follow these directions). Once you've logged into, select the "Pay Enrollment and Housing Fees" link in the middle of your screen under the heading "Student Links." Watch the videos below for detailed step by step instructions.

  3. Keep an eye out for more information from Lipscomb. Once you’ve paid your enrollment fee and housing fee you will:
    • Receive instructions about picking a dorm room and roommate.
    • Register for Advance orientation when it opens at the beginning of February.  Only students who have paid the enrollment fee may register for Advance.  Follow the links below to learn more about Advance.
    • If you are a TRANSFER STUDENT, academic advising will take place throughout the spring and summer. Contact your recruiter to learn more.

  4. Join the “I’m coming to Lipscomb in 2019” Facebook group to stay in the loop and connect with your future classmates and friends.
  5. Try to improve your ACT/SAT scores. Lipscomb only considers your best test scores, which means you can qualify for better scholarships even after you’ve been admitted. We even administer the Residual ACT right here on campus.
  6. Review your Financial Aid award.  We will send you your official financial aid package in the mail after accessing your FAFSA. You will also receive instructions in your email to access your award online through myLipscomb. Contact your Admissions Counselor if you are not planning on filing the FAFSA.
  7. Set up and begin checking your Lipscomb email address on a regular basis. Important information from Housing, Financial Aid, Campus Life and Advance as well as others will be sent to your Lipscomb email address. Make a habit of checking this regularly throughout the spring and summer.

To access your Lipscomb email, visit Lipscomb uses Gmail as its server so if you already have a Gmail account, you will either need to log out of that account or choose "Add Account." 8. If you are a first-time freshman, your college experience will begin with QuestWeek in August.  Everyone in your class will arrive on campus a week before regular classes start in order to get to know each other, Lipscomb, and Nashville.  QuestWeek is required for all freshmen and all transfers under the age of 21 (as of August 1, 2017). The Quest Team will keep you busy with games, field trips, and important info sessions, and your freshmen seminar class will meet twice this week as well. QuestWeek will be one of the best experiences of your freshman year!
  9. Submit the Health Record Form along with required vaccine documentation to the Health Center before the start of classes.
  10. If a parent or other individual is helping pay your bill, add them as an authorized user on TouchNet. This will allow them to view and pay your bill, receive monthly statement reminders, and set up payment plans. Being an authorized user on TouchNet is the only way for parents to receive billing statements from the Business Office. To add an authorized user, log in to, go to Student Homepage, under the Student Links section find Business Office, and click on Manage Authorized Users.
