99-year-old Lipscomb alumnus Liu leaves behind legacy of service
At nearly 99 years old, Lipscomb alumnus John S. K. Liu passed away on Dec. 29, 2018 in Beijing, China. Liu met his wife, Eleanor Echols, when they both attended Lipscomb University. The couple were married in the lobby of Johnson Hall in 1951 and awarded the Lipscomb University Heroes of Business Award in 2012.

This year’s theme, “Preaching at the Crossroads: Rediscovering Gospel in the New World” will introduce discussion on the importance of preaching, examples of the gospel at work, and what it looks like to live and speak prophetically in modern context.
